its U-beauts EEE followed by shellwax cream Phill, I was tempted to leave it matt or satin but these darker woods just seem to suit a high gloss finish

That is soooo nice George, not only is the finish super but the shape and contrast of woods you choose is spot on. :thumbs:

The cocobolo has a beautiful deep shine to it George. That + the contrasting boxwood & elegant shape makes this a much sought after little box.:thumbs:

Superb construction George it sings class and quality to me that finish shows the timber well. It really suits darker timber.A further touch that completes the image is at the join on the top half to lower piece that finish in the step rim is exquisite mate.
