Found it difficult to buy cross cut but well worth it never know which way the grain will run.

I will try another method of dust removal with a a back up got covered in the inlet sounds like a V2 rocket engine but the way I turn initially with a fingernail gouge sends a lot to the lathe bed or me, in common with all of these timbers its a wrench on the breathing system all the Rosewoods are guilty.

I like this one.

Year or so ago I bought a short plank of this timber the guy refused to even cut it but sent it to a mate in Nth America who sliced it for me and on posted. The first bloke was so sensitised he was traumatised to even touch it.

Thanks for the nice comments.

Peter.

It happens Peter, a cabinet maker friend who had used Cocobolo for years had a sudden reaction one day to the dust, it was so bad he has never used Cocobolo since, all to my benefit as he gave me the remaining stock that he had.
