I bought a set of 30 for a quid from poundland yesterday and glued them up, cut and drilled some blanks this afternoon so will see how it goes.

I didn't do it exactly like yours as tutorial wasn't posted and glued 3 rows high as I had enough pencils.

i have enough to do 3 rows but for a slimline it not needed might do some for the sierra like that
