As the title says, trying something new...deep bowl is ash, shallow bowl is maple....

Super bit of turning, Paddy.
What's your finish?
Thanks Alan.... well it's not quick (outside), inside the bowl is sanding to 600 and Citrus burnishing oil (one of my faves and smells great!) all is with thanks to Hampshire Sheen and their raft of products, outside sanding to 400, intrinsic colours with de-nibbing between coats, thinned cellulose sanding sealer, de-nibbling again, clear gloss lacquer, de-nibbing between coats (see a trend here LOL), sanding to 1200, polishing with car restorer, finally microcrystalline wax..... all of these multiple coats and 24 hours between lacquer and next stage...

Yes, not quick...but very effective.
