Lovely. The colouring is fab! The first finial is fantastic too! I like the form too - nice movement in the curve.

Amazing looking piece of work. How did you do it?
Hi Paul the form was sealed then sprayed with ebonising lacquer, then I mixed the violet jo-Sonja iridescent paint with flow medium dabbed a bit on at a time and with an air brush I pushed the paint around then finished with clear lacquer, the finial was just a scrap piece that was turned and ebonised with the same lacquer

A great hollow form Andy and the finial looks good except for the step where they join it could have been a little smaller as it interupts the flow between the two.

Your right Derek it is a bit deep, but not bad for a first go, I'm going to turn another tomorrow and see what it looks like then

Andy manipulation at best practices that over come so many challenges. Distinctive colour, beaut finial , blending the stained finial to the piece masterful.

Petere.
