Does anyone know if it is possible to re-grind Colt pen drills accurately in the workshop without any specialist tool grinders.
I find these drills great at drilling out acrylic blanks but the one I use most is starting to loose its edge and could do with a sharpen.

I use De Walt drills that have an extra drill point and they are not able to be sharpened. Checking over the years at a few dollars each they earn their keep far and above and contribute to such a low cost in producing a pen . Compared with the kit and blank, then Glue and consumable costs it is minimal.
Tip always have a spare on hand.

Peter.
