Hi guys
Haven't been turning for a while as both my titebond and ca glue was frozen and didn't thaw out. As my local store is closing and haven't been able to get up to it to get more unfortunately as yet production has stopped at present.
Went to a two day course however, held by local woodturning group and was able to produce this as my first attempt with a bit of help as sometimes holding the gouge incorrectly as it wasn't cutting. And was told to adjust to proper angle and finished this at the end.......

First bowl = great job.
Do you mean the Woodshed is closing down???
I thought that it wasnt until the summer.
I haven't been up to it from start of January as the road from Antrim to Templepatrick was closed. Also still going to doctors for tests. I know it's closing but not sure when.
I normally use Titebond, so apart from epoxy can you advise a better glue??

Do you mean for glueing tubes into blanks???
Mostly it's 2 part Epoxy for me or sometimes Gorilla polyurethane.
At a pinch I have used Carpenters glue!!!!!! without any issue.

Nice work Tom

looks like a bit of YEW to me from this angle .

Now you refine the shape and ( we all do it eventually ) see how thin you can go. Once bored with thinness you get more practical and friends all get a bowl or two.

Have fun
