A Burl blank, never seen the Burl Form before. The tree is indigenous to Australia, has a Gray stem with white bark that flakes away leaving conspicuous spots ,the reason it is commonly called Spotted Gum.

This blank the only one I have seen came from the Southern Tablelands in Queensland.

Peter.

Another cracking pen design and perfect wood. I always admire your choices of wood Peter and the careful shaping of your pens. Well done mate, first class turning.
