Waiting for a parcel sent overnight for delivery today sent via APC.
Instructions were to leave with one of two neighbours if not in but wifie was home all day (I was playing golf
) Got home tonight and no parcel so tracked on line and APC website states, delivered 12.00, "left as instructed over back gate"
The lying b****ard!
Not only did I not instruct him to do that, it was bloody impossible for him to do. The box contains a largish compressor weighing almost 30kg, we have 2 side gates, both padlocked one being 6ft high and the other 4ft. The porch door was standing open and a car and van in the drive with numerous safe places to leave it if necessary.
My wife may have been in the back garden with the dog but both neighbours were at home.
There'll be some questions to answer tomorrow 'cos I've emailed the sales company with photos and I'll be on the phone when they open at 8.30

really. My son had to send his gas analyser away for its annual recalibration. He sent it first class recorded delivery and it got to the company no problem. The service should have been 24 hour turnaround as he needs the analyser for his job. Two days latter no sign of it after contacting the company they said it had been delivered by APC and that it had been signed for. He had waited in all day for the delivery and no one from APC had been in his street that day never mind to his house. These Analysers are very expensive and it took two more weeks for him to get a brand new replacement free of course from the company who recalibrate it. Annoying that he lost a fair few boilers services due to this cock up. I swear blind that the delivery driver knew what was in the parcel and could make a few bob on it. The poor bugger who brought it will bein for a shock when he needs to get it calibrated next year as each analyser has its own unique I'd no
biggest load of b******s I've heard in a while. I've 'phoned the sellers and told them they won't be sending anything else to me via APC. Pity as they are a decent company and not their fault the couriers are crooked. Next step is an email to APC hierarchy once I've found out his email address.
