Hi Pen People.
I’m currently on holiday in the Maldives. Too hot for me to be honest but I wanted to check it out. Very romantic, with white sands and warm, shimmering turquoise water. It’s beautiful and, on reflection, I probably should have brought my wife.
Anyway before I left I made a few pens and here is one of them. They’re a tad different as I now use Argentium silver for the coin. It’s just a trial run as it was suggested to me by my silversmith tutor when I attended a course with him back in February. It’s supposed to be brighter and more resistant to tarnishing so we will see.
The pen itself is made from Conway Stewart Green Swirl (not to be confused with the brown swirl which is, in fact, mostly green like this but with a brown swirl going through it). I’ve used jet black acrylic finials/section and my signature Rockster Red accent rings.
It has a Bock no6 nib and I’ve used 13mm triple lead threads. It has a chrome plated steel pocket clip.
Cheers
Ash
