On thing that irritates me is seeing a huge rig heading North on the A1 whilst an equal and opposite rig is heading the other way, so here's an idea for you, a caravan share scheme. Basically if you live in St Austell and are going to Aberdeen and someone else whom lives in Aberdeen wants to go to St Austell why not just swap 'vans thus saving both of you very long journeys and hundreds of litres of fuel and saving the rest of the population from being inconvenienced.
A clearing house system to administer the system could be funded from the fuel savings alone.
Or just park all the damn things on a static site and hire one when you need it.
