Nope, stuck the bit end in pin jaws turned it half round and parted it off. Sand the pip off glue in. 10 mins the pair.

I wear links for the office and I'm sick of paying 10-20 quid for crap, when I can make my own for less than 2 quid.

I'm from Yorkshire after all

Timberbits, they do all colours, I got 3 each gold and silver last order.

Seemed like a good idea and I'm sure those who do craft fairs would sell them easily.

Nice cufflinks Phil, I did mine the same as you, pin jaws, sand seal, part off, then finished with melamine lacquer together on a drying board (piece of scrap with lots of nails in it).
