Curly Oak on a Slimline Pen

Not sure what this wood is to be honest, but it has the hallmarks of some type of Oak, so i have named it Curly Oak due to the pattern of the grain.. The C/B is a piece of Blackwood..

I used the D&M Pen Finish that Walter gave me at the meet last week, it does have a good shine and it feels good. But the jury is still out for me yet as i need to test it with a few more pens until I give my full opinion.. :thinks:

That is a lovely looking pen made nicer by a striking piece of wood Jim. It looks to me like Holly oak which is also called Holm Oak or Tiger Oak. It looks like a tiger pattern to me.
