I have a gift for not knowing when I am in water over my head. Made my first clip. Then I said to myself, "Self...you know how to solder. There must be more. If you can solder, you can form a band. If you can solder and form a band, a plate added to a band makes a cap. No worries. How deep can the water be, right?" This is my second attempt at a custom clip (and other stuff). Miles to go before I sleep, but I will get there. This one is an Alumilite blank for the cap, body and section, Bock #5 nib and feed, and all metal parts are nickel alloy. I have held this pen in my hands more than any I made before...not because I am satisfied (at all) but because doors opened and possibilities are keeping me awake at night. This pen-making thing is almost better than scotch. (Well...let's not get carried away...)
