Chrome with Black chrome accents Cyclone rollerball, with segments of Bubinga & Ash hardwood. Celtic cross, Black acrylic sandwiched between Aluminium.

Thanks Alan, I had to make the body of the pen twice; had almost finished turning the first one, when a piece of wood broke apart and it was a choice of repairing the blank or do it again. I chose the latter and made sure I had plenty of CA glue in between the bits.
You will find that, with segmented pens, a few bits will ping off from time to time. I usually keep my turning area fairly clean so I can find them and glue them back in. Doesnt happen so often now ...the blanks that look a bit iffy will get the CA as you do.

I sand all my tubes on a 80 grit bench sander to ensure the best possible glueing surface and I use a wire brush on my blank parts as well - i still get the odd blowout - that's part of the fun right :rolling: but every little helps and bye the way that is a stunning pen :claps:
Yep, always have sanded the tubes and any other materials being glued in definitely have to be scuffed well.
