I turned my lathe on for the first time in a looooooong time, the spindle move about 1/8 of a turn and stopped.
Checked the plug was in properly, the inverter showed it was doing 2300 rpm's, fight my way through the dust and cobwebs and open the door where the motor is, the belt was off, after a lot of rooting around got it back on.
Turned it back on and spindle move about 1/2 of a turn and stopped, pulled the cover of the head stock to check the belt was on there properly , put it back on the motor then I noticed that the PVC mounting bushes/washers were disintergrating
Where can I get some more for the week end.
