Any really deaf blokes here, at the point that hearing aids are no good any more.

I am totally deaf in one ear and cant hear with the other one.
This makes it very dangerous in the shed, I cant hear my table saw etc running.:crap:

Just wondering how you cope with every thing, do you have any aids/ equipment to help you?

Thanks in advance.

PS on the plus side I cant hear the missus nagging any more.

Can't help you Mark but didn't you know all men are deaf in one ear, which ear depends one which side the woman is standing at that particular time.

Those oft repeated words "you never listen to a word I'm saying" will still echo when I'm dead and gone. :whistling:

I am a bit hard of hearing rather than deaf but I would not rely on sound anyway. With a dust extractor running as well as a micro filter plus wearing an extraction helmet I am not sure I would hear a circular saw. I would never leave such a beast running, but always use a NVR to shut it down as I work with it and then isolate it as soon as I finish. The same is true for routers etc.
You could try linking some kind of warning light to the equipment so that you get a visual indication of running, just beware of any strobe effect that might make something moving appear to be stationary.
