A couple of carvings recently finished from my box of part done projects., using my set of Pfeil palm gouges.

Old Smokey Joe in boxwood stands about 250mm high and the frog about 110mm long in what I think was a bit of walnut burr, whatever it is I found it very difficult to work and really should have consigned it to the lathe rather than a carving.

Still the missus likes them both and that's what matters.

Thanks for the comments and the likes guys, much appreciated.

I'm well Bill thanks, hope you are also. I don't have a lot of time to do anything at the minute as my wife had another operation 3 weeks ago, her 5th fairly major in 5 years and she's in plaster for 6 weeks so another 3 to go, has to keep her foot elevated for 55 minutes out of every hour and then will be fitted with a "moon" boot for another 6 weeks, I'm knackered, a woman's work is apparently never done so I've had to read the instruction books, again, for the cooker, vac, washing machine etc. :rolling: then when that's all finished I have to walk the mutt :sob:
My wife is bored as hell and peed off because I refuse to answer to the dog whistle and have hidden the bell. :funny:

I must have accumulated a lifetime's worth of brownie points by now....... what can I buy? :thinks:

Take care marra. Hope to see you at Harrogate where I’ll hopefully bump into you again.
