I got some Delrin from Ebay and decided that along with my new Tap and Die set I'd try and make a nib. I totally forgot about putting a cap on so that might be mkII and this one will have to be a desk pen.

Lovely work Paul, Delrin is an interesting compound to turn giving a great finish straight of the chisel, I look forward to seeing how you get on with your experimenting :thumbs:

Thanks Woody. My intention is to do a wooden body of the pen hopefully. Now I'm back from flying the birds I'll be up in the shed again soon Hopefully.

A magnificent looking bird Peter, very similar to our Golden Eagle except larger and the tail is a different shape. I've had the unpleasant experience to get nailed by a Golden Eagle in my hand although was quick enough to make it so the talons didn't go right through but even so enough damage was done. This is a picture of his talons and they would have gone right through my hand if I wasn't quick enough.
