Laburnum was imported from overseas early in Tasmanias history and planted as windbreaks. I have been impressed by its distinctive colour,grain since I visited Tasmania a long time ago.The pen demonstrates this so well.

It is also poisonous , but i love the grain it has, this was from a friends garden that blew over 2 years ago
