Thanks for sharing my brother in law came from Durham late 40,s early 50,s Ex Army WW2 was a Painter always talked endlessly of a City of, or and ,Guilds qualification as a Painter and Decorator in the UK. I listened in awe at the required skill levels needed to obtain this,it included Coach decorative Scrolling etc. sounded very exotic.
