This is what I sent to De Walt UK.

Subject: Extreme 2 drill bits?

Dear Sir/ Madam.

I have been reading with interest how the Extreme 2 drill bit sets are

considered the most reliable, effective way of drilling blanks for wood /

acrylic pen turning.

They apparently are highly regarded for their performance and accuracy by

some of the best practitioners of the craft in the UK., and preferred over

some of the companies that "Specialise" in drill bits for pen turning.

By necessity, these blanks need to be drilled using Imperial size drill

bits.

Unfortunately De Walt do not offer their Imperial sets for sale in the UK,

and I am at a loss to wonder why.

Despite metric measurements becoming more prolific over here, they are not

exclusive. It may be of benefit to your company and UK customers if you

could provide a choice in the sizes available.

It may be considered a "Niche" market, but as this is a product you already

produce, I would humbly suggest that you look at the possibility of

supplying your Imperial size sets in the UK.

I was obviously exaggerating in the second sentence!:funny::funny:

Here is their reply......

Dear Neil Lawton,

Thank you for your feedback.

I will pass your feedback on to the relevant department for future consideration.

Unfortunately as these items are not available in the UK, we are unable to supply them to you.

Think I may now mail De Walt USA, and make a nuisance of myself!
