Bit the bullet and got me a new little lathe.

This one

Was on offer at Screwfix and I had 10% off, so paid 190 delivered, happy with that.

It came yesterday, but I was too excited to remember to take a picture!

It's a lovely little machine, but then considering what I've been working on, anything is better!

First pen turned too!

Silky Oak from Dave on a gunmetal streamline, couple of coats of polish.

Was finally a pleasure to turn again!

WOOOW HOOOO well done that man.
Nice little machine at that price I hope you will be very happy together.
Nice pen too, looks a little on the large size with it diving to the belt but what you like is the important factor.

Looks to be a copy of the old Axminster M300 lathe. I've got the big brother, the M600 the difference just a longer bed. Crackin' little machines, would never sell mine. Used to take it around for demo's but not any more, it is now lodging in the end of my garage and gets used more than my bigger machine.

You've got a good buy there. Enjoy!
