I was turning a walnut barrel and put a couple of burn lines round it, when I wondered if I were to deepen and enlarge them into maybe 1/8th in width, could I infill the rings with a contrasting colour.....?
I then thought that maybe the traditional sealing wax (The brittle type) would do the job? Then allow it to set then turn and polish the excess off.......hmmm

Anybody ever used this? I know the new glue gun wax sticks are more pliable and softer, I'm thinking of the hard types as they come in beautiful colours.....
:thinks:
