I was in my yard one day and heard this mighty explosion and witnessed a 44 gallon drum prescribe an arc 50 feet in the air sailing over the next door neighbors house. He had successfully cut the drum part way.

Wonderful making there Barry how did you seal it on the rim or?

I have a mate who cut into a 44 gall drum, only to have the grinder blown backward into his face and through his skull. Survived (despite a week or two in coma) and his face is now a wonderful conversation piece.

I ain't cutting into no Calor bottles ...:nonono::nonono::nonono:

Thats a great job there. Would have loved to see the in between pictures.

I made one in to a stove a couple of years back. Left the valve open, as I could not get it off, then drilled a couple of holes in the top and poured some water via a funnel in to it. Left it a while before getting the angle grinder to it. I still have a couple of bottles left somewhere in the garden. I won't hold you responsible Barry, but if you can give some further info as to how you made the pot and what materials you used, I for one would appreciate it.

I used 50mm x 4mm flat steel for the x brace
10mm all thread for the bolts
for the bolt anchors 30mm angle
I used 25mm steel pipe to put the anchor bolts in drilled taped and welded
And a good angle grinder
for the seal car parts 4mm rubber pipe
When grinding stick to the line
AND GOGGLES AND GLOVES

Good luck
