More of a concept than anything else, I need to get a nice hardwood for the next one. Fun though!

The knot makes the snowman quite individual:thumbs:

Very nice. Do you really need to make it from hardwood?

I don't 'need' to, although I suspect with a 3 year old and a 4 year old, this one might get a 'worn' look fairly soon :rolling:

I would like to make more of them, but the fence post I had was a pain to work with - parting off left a very rough edge (which I hid with the shavings :goesred:), I will try to finish it nicely tonight.

Once I turned down the basic shape, I just thought the knot was perfect!

I need to do some smaller ones too - that one is about 10" tall, was made from a 4" fence post. Will try to make some for the kids, then maybe my nephew and 6 nieces!

I had an idea for a snowman based knitting dolly with a removable hat (the hat being a handle for the needle) but I am not sure if I will get around to it!
