Drill bit sizes

Hi all.
I'm wanting to make my upgraded Jr Gentlemans pen which I bought a short time ago. I have the blank, kit and bushes so I'm pretty much set. However, the drill bit sizes are really odd. 10.5mm and 31/64". I have found a 10.5mm but I don't seem to have any imperial. 31/64" is approximately 12.303m so would I be ok with a 12.5mm and use Gorilla glue to expand in the 0.2m void?

Who's kit is it Steve? Most Jr kits routinely recommend 10.5 and 12.5 I believe. Do you have the means to accurately measure the physical size of the tube? That might help you make a judgement if you need to use an alternative drill bit.

Drill gauge.. TBH I don't even bother with the instructions advising drill size with one of these.
Rare if I even use instructions. Full stop actually..

Thanks Eamonn, brilliant suggestion. I think I might have one of those in my dads old tool box. Never even thought about using it

I always measure and check the drill this way they all vary from the markings and during turning make sure I use calipers to give accurate joins in the final pen at the tip centre and top.
