It's basically a Morse taper.
If you bought your drill from new you should have been provided with a tool to eject the chuck.
A "Drift"
If you have a cheapie, you may have 2 drifts to tap in at opposing sides to release the chuck.
If all else fails cut a fork shaped wedge out of hardwood, and tap in between the quill and chuck.

Verification
