Dulcimer

I made an acoustic bass guitar a couple of winters ago and made this dulcimer from the left-over materials last winter.
Dulcimer means "sweet sound" though not when I am playing.

It's more of an American instrument.
I suppose that if you were up the mountains in the states they would be very common.
