If it was me I wouldn't bother with the T piece particularly if the machines are close together, just have one hose as short as possible that you swap from one machine to another. It takes no longer to do this than than going to one machine to shut a blast gate then to the other to open the blast gate.

The up side is you get no loss of suction due to gaps in the blast gates & you also minimise drag within the duct work.


I do exactly this with 4 machines lathe, bandsaw, spindle moulder & thicknesser all grouped close together & I've found it far superior than when I had blast gates & hoses everywhere.
