dyes and different types of resin

I have been using polyurethane resin and using dyes for that resin but finding it a bit expensive so bought some polyester resin as its almost half the price, my question is ... can I use the same dyes in polyester resin that I use in polyurethane resin? and visa versa?:thinks:

The dyes I use are compatible with both.

As Peter says, anything that is not water based should be fine ..
