DeWalt DW733 thicknesser, I just couldn't turn this down as it's a steal at £150. Not brand new but only used a handful of times so as good as, not a mark on it.

He uses a variety of highly figured exotic wood and has offered to keep suitable offcuts for me as well - happy days.:banana:

An awesome tool made even better with a replacement Shelix spiral cutterhead.

DeWalt says the stock knives can't be sharpened but if you find the right person that can build a simple jig to hold the knives they can be resharpened. The key is not to use them until they are so dull you couldn't cut butter.
