EEE Ultra Shine and Shellawax, where do you buy yours from?
Anybody in the UK had it shipped from Timberbits? Just wondering if this is possible?

I found it good on certain woods Paul, really brought out the grain, but due to not using it that often it solidified, not sure if i could have stopped this happening if i stored it better? Good stuff though .. I got it from Toolpost as Andy mentions above ..

I had to throw out a jar because it got hard. Now I store it in a zip lock plastic bag. It has stayed fresh twice as long as the previous jar.

I use EEE and shellwax cream on my wooden boxes

If its the glass jar with the metal lid (shellwax cream) going hard -try turning the jar upside when you store it

A quick cut and paste. This works on half a jar that had been sitting on my shelf since 1995 that dried up.

THIS IS A WAX.
WAX MELTS IN EXTREME HEAT
SO KEEP IT COOL!

To fix melted EEE: Put container in hot water to melt contents, when melted stir with non
metal stirrer until mix begins to cool & thicken or the abrasive may drop out of the mix.

To rejuvenate hard EEE: Do the same as above but, add a small amount of mineral turpentine.
(for half a jar add 1 tablespoon, if really dry add 2 tablespoons too much will just make it runny)

My Shellawax Cream has gone hard in the jar. How can I restore it? A/ Stirring it vigorously will bring it back to a creamy consistency. If it is still not thin enough add a little Shellawax (liquid). If you don’t have Shellawax add a LITTLE BIT of Methylated Spirits do not drown the mix and use this only as a LAST RESORT.

Been doing that for years with old furniture polish that splits and goes hard.
Stand it in boiling water till it liquefies, take away from heat source, add a goodly splosh of white spirit and stir while it sets.
Don't see why it shouldn't work for any other waxes.

Get a goodly dollop of ear wax and instead of feeding it to the birds make your own polish with a drop of paint thinners init?

I can just see all of the forum members reaching for their cotton buds and a jar. :rolling:

I cleared a friends shed out after he died, there was about 20 half empty polish tins from the 60's on a shelf.
Some if not most in tins that had gone rusty, I scraped the contents out and mixed them all in a large coffee jar, did as above and still use it to this day.
It's all only beeswax and turps with maybe a bit of perfume when it's new init?
