An Elm bowl approx 8" dia, inlaid with salmon flies using this, http://www.easycomposites.co.uk/#!/...n/water-clear-polyurethane-casting-resin.html.
It was a present for my brothers birthday, he's a massive salmon angler, just wished I'd used some of the flies he ties himself, anyhow, sanded to 400, finished with sanding sealer then "Hampsire Sheen".
Worm holes, cracks and the small voids filled with bronze, using resin and the bronze were both firsts for me.

Never seen a bowl like this ,love it the conception and execution. Ideal present for your brother to be proud of you.
