I've missed something. I don't know what it was or when it happened, but I definatley missed something. They - the dreaded empress pen - (related by genetic inbreeding to the diva pen, the only pen to display a momento of the designers dangly bits, and the princess pen, the nearest thing to a pen made out of beads that you thread onto to string to make jewellry for tempestuous five year old girls)) are proliferating this forum like a bad strain of the black death. Have green shield stamps been resurrected to help dispose of a world surplus of tasteless pseudo bling?

Neil I still have 18 of them to do yes they aren't the best kit on the market I would be the first to admit that but at £6,50 or there about's they will look OK in my collection but in saying that I like them more than the Jn gents and I couldn't afford so many of the other kits that will show of so much wood in my wood collection apart from the chairman's pen which I don't like as for the bling falling of I have had a good look at that and it is riveted on now the roman harvest I have had them fall of in the past they were just stuck on and at £15 each a big price difference
So on that note I will carry on turning them till I have exhausted my supply so keep looking Neil there will be more for you to disapprove of :funny::funny::waver::waver:

I think we have Frankie to thank for the Empress kits - he came up with the bright idea to have a group buy of the god-forsaken things ... Just teasing Frankie - none of us knew what a crock they were! :funny::funny::funny:

Neil, I have little doubt that you have a secret stash somewhere not even Mrs. Neil know about, inside which you keep your guilty pleasures - a full suite of Diva pens in all available crystal colours and all wearing delicate pink dresses ...

David,

Sadly you are not far from the truth. It is confession time. When Axminster first launched their version of the pen, I bought several. In fact I bought quite a few. I bought thirty. I still have twenty nine. I don't like them, neither do the public, or at least the public who visit my stand, I no longer bother putting them on the stand and reserve them for events where I have to submit a pen for a blind auction and the item should be worth around a tenner. Before the recipient has an attack of reality, they are delighted with their £10 win!
