Had been asked to do some engraved pen boxes for a husband and wife friends that was retiring.

All boxes hand made and engraved by myself.

Boxes in Ash, Mahogany and Brazilian mahogany.

The ash doesn't engrave quite s well as the redwoods..:thinks:

They all look good except the second down on the left and the bottom right in the photo it looks like a dark grain pattern running through and making it harder to read the engraving.

The bottom right is Ash and didn't engrave quite as good as I expected Derek, however I learned a trick to get around it and the next ones will look much better..

The second down left hand side looked much better in the hand, it's the photo that doesn't do it justice TBH.

That's the Brazilian mahogany one, along with the one bottom middle..

Small images mate hard to find detail at all. As a general view though your boxes are great the timbers real and promising. I batches of four much easier to see.
