Lovely pen. I see you made the lower barrel thicker to 'merge' better with the top barrel. I remember someone on here suggesting that when you showed your last Euro. Sorry to be contrary, but I liked the thinner lower barrel more. There's just no pleasing some folk!

Love the shape you have chosen for this pen Angelo, nice finish and a super looking blank .. :bwink:

Those spalted timbers looked very inviting . :whistling:

David we all see things our way the reason none of us are perfect only individuals as one who advocates smooth transition between top and bottom of pens I drew in a breath when my first look this was for the unusual timber sheen then the clean lines, the daring in the successful design leads me to complement Angelo on his lovely pen quite a departure with impact to remember.

Kind regards to you both Peter.:thinks:

I believe it was penpal that suggested it.
I'm still undecided.
There's a mortise and tenon at the joint.
If it's even a couple of thousanths off it will show. DAMHIK

Angelo I answered on Davids reply and yes my two worries for me and I rarely try to impose my thoughts re these is when transitioning from any pen kit be it from the centre bands on Streamlines what do you match if you choose the topmost of the rings etc so I do just that and turn a gentle rounding to emulate the curve. I advocate no great stepping from top to bottom so it does not draw attention away from the kit or the timber but harmonises, flows. You should see the quandary when I make hex pens how I approach to round from hex, and I guess this made me more aware and occasionall comment in an endeavor to suggest give it a thought try it and see make up your own mind. I agree with you even a touch difference shows. Sometimes I burst into dips and scrolls as well to break up something my way sometimes for fun or a desire to be different for my own sake
When they stamped me out they made me how I am viva la difference.

Kind regards to everyone Peter.
