A timberbits Trivalent Chrome Executive Clicker with Olive I received from Neil Lawton, thanks again Neil.

I kept it a bit chunky for a test and I quite like the feel of it.

I didn't finish it with CA as I normally do, I just used cellulose sanding sealer and buffed it with mazerna P75 then microcristaline. I think I am going to strip it and finish it normally.

Lovely one. I think that this is a lovely pen shows lots of wood. However its not a good seller when up against fifteen other ranges. I cant sell my stock of this pen, it wont be one I restock with.

Have you had any feedback as to why, I can see the benefit of a click with one handed use. I wonder if it would sell better if it had two different woods to look like a two barrel pen.

If you take three or four pens that all use the parker refill and use them, each will appear to write differently. This is simply to do with the weight of the pen and the centre of gravity. The sierra has the cog very close to the nib, away from the crutch of your thumb and index finger. The Click pen is of uniform weight throughout and the cog is much higher meaning that the pen requires much more finger movement as opposed to hand movement and is therefore more tiring to use. I have sold some of these but the common denominator is that the purchasers all had very big hands.

Thats a lovely pen Peter and one I want to have a go at. I understand what Neil is saying, the punters are a funny lot but I like it, especially that one.

I will have to try that I hadn't considered it, without a comparison there doesn't seem to be any problem, but I am going to try it. Thanks.

The finish is not as uniform as it would be if I used CA. I still like the click pens and I will be doing more.

Love the wood Peter making a lovely pen!!!
Peter your photography is not bad for a novice !!!!! LOL:mooney2::mooney2::mooney2:

I am just grateful for the tips you have given me Terry:banana:, although I am not there yet:sob: I had to look closely at the nib after I saw the photos as I thought there was a ding in it:thumbs:
