Executive spalted beech

Made this today from an Executive kit, from Axminster sale, and covered it in spalted beech. Finished with CA.

Not sure if I like it. I looks dirty. May have to strip it and try a different wood.

Still a nice looking pen Mike, i am sure it will take someone's fancy as it has an old rustic look to it .. :winking:

Unfortunately some spalted wood looks like that when its just not got enough black but its still a pen that I would be proud to own. Its turned and finished very nicely. :thumbs:

Lower the temperature and brighten the pic and you can see the spalt a bit better.
Looks fine to me init?

Mike it is difficult to imagine your pen in different surroundings but in my opinion theres nowt wrong with your pen and penmaking.
