Thought I might try and polish acrylic with car polish etc.
used Mantis scratch remover and then polished with Simoniz Original Wax Liquid. Has anyone else used this method and will it be hard wearing.

Pen looks good. I just sand then apply Micro-crystalline Wax. Not had any problems

It looks ok.
Everyone seems to have their own method of finishing acrylic. If you are happy with yours then go for it.

I use whatever polish is first at hand Glen and car polish is as good as any and in fact better than some.

Looks beaut Glen the question of longevity is a mystery much like do you write test adjust the nibs on all your fountain pens some care most dont how long is a piece of string etc. I just do my level best figuring pens are consumables to people or put on the shelf to admire. Like motor cars doing bush bashing or show cruising its how they get left on the back shelf of the car in desert country that determines the life and finish durability. Solve that one and your a GURU.
