Father and son shed time

Supposed to have been away this weekend but my wife wasn’t t very well so a good excuse for some much needed shed time with my boy. The first pen is his a bolt action dressed with a resin blank - all I did was a bit of final shaping to get it dead straight he did the rest - he’s well pleased. I couldn’t let him have all the fun so I fessed an Athena with some apple wood from a tree I took down a few years ago. It’s great to be back turning pens I may have caught the bug again[emoji16][emoji16]

Two little crackers their, the apple looks very clean and simple lines....very nice. The bolt always looks good in dark colours and that's no exception he should be well pleased

Ever considered re-orientating the bolt handle to get the pens bolt action
to work like a real right handed bolt action rifle?

A good idea Les - not sure it was possible with this kit though. If we do this again I might have a bit of a play and see [emoji1303]
