You can just change the nib, but it doesn't sound like it is that Eamonn may have nailed it with the feed being blocked, it could be plastic that hasn't been cleared or it could be dried ink, if you take it apart and give it a good clean then reassemble and try it. if that doesn't work you could always swap the feed from one you know that works. If you are worried about trying this send it to me and I will strip it and clean it it and check the feed. As Eamonn says they are very simple things.
