Thought it about time I did some turning so took a couple of hours out from doing the garden and working on another bowl which seems to be taking forever. Not sure of the wood as it is an old rough turned piece from some time ago which did not have any bark or leaves to identify it.
Finished with sander sealer and buffed on Chestnuts three-wheel system

I like it, very nice grain on that one.

Small tip, as I’m sure you know buffing mops wear down eventually. When you need to replace them you can can save money by not buying them from Chesnut but getting them from the experts.

Polishing Kits | Polishing Mops | Polishing Shop | Polishing Kit

They sell a huge range of mops and abrasives, postage is very reasonable and I’ve had great service from them.

There’s also a brief guide and some suggestions for materials for polishing wood:

Guide to Menzerna Compounds for Woods- Plastics and Lacquer | The Polishing Shop
