This was carved as a gift for a relative in 1982 and has survived countless episode of wax and cloth over the years until recently when it had a little accident and the poor thing had it's legs amputated.

I've stuck it back temporarily to help me fashion a new leg - when I eventually get a roundtuit.

This is a nice carving Bob, pity about the damage. It is definitely worth the effort of a good repair. It has a nice sheen to it.

Oh dear, Bob - a one-legged wren. Can't you give it a matchstick to use as a temporary crutch?

Bob.
