Cant help you Jim I have never fancied turning it but on buffalo horn I use ordinary plastic polish or T cut

Ok I completed it and used CA it came up good it was on a mini bullet pen in Gun Metal. I wanted to use a smaller dia horn to get some rough texture but unfortunately the pen Dia did not allow for this.

I have to set up my camera for other photos when set up i will take the photo.
What i like about these mini bullets are that you will get three pens from one blank.

Some turners ensure a better finish by working closer to the coloured then use CA it holds the softer part better.
