Probably moving a bit fast as i only got my lathe on wed evening, but I did have a bandsaw, so had to have a play with it
managed to cut some veneers out of pine, not perfect but close enough for a try, i used the bandsaw for cutting the blanks, but think i will get the scroll saw sorted before i try this again, I will also buy some veneer so it is all the same thickness anyway here is the results slimline in teak with pine serpantine lines

All coments and p**s taking welcomed as I really enjoyed experimenting with alternative materiels and methods

Love this pen mate now jump up to a streamline centre band to give continuity to the centre of the pen,its worth doing mate.
