This is my first ever attempt it's a bit of purpleheart wood I picked up a mandrel etc at the show yesterday from turners retreat and I have to say Dave was really helpful and I would certainly deal with them again. I cocked the 2nd one up the tube was spinning inside the blank when I put it on the lathe guess I didn't put enough glue on the blank but was worried about getting glue inside the tube.

Cheers

Matt
