Had a bit of Tuition from another turner last week on box making and this was the result its made from Eucalyptus

Would be handy to see it without its lid on as well.

Looks like a great little box.. saw a couple of these made at thee weekend. . Have to say inspired me.. but will have to watch some more videos before I am brave enough to give it a go

A very nice box especially as it is a first. I like the gentle curve from the bottom to the top just adds to the piece, good job on the line up as well. look forward to some more

Looks lovely. A brave choice to make a box from Eucalyptus, it moves very easily and although it might appear bone dry it dries with so much stress that it moves subsequent to turning frequently.

Excellent first box Allan. My first 3 ended up In d bin..:sob:

4th one was left kicking around in d shed, 5th one was scabbed from my little fingers as soon as d lid was out on.

With over 700 Eucalyptus species some of the worlds most beautiful timbers stable as Oak for most of them your is special made into this box.
