This is my first ever attempt at making a segmented pen. I wish the woods had been more contrasting but I just wanted to try it out and use what scraps I'd got in the shop. The woods are Mahogany and Plum with Yellow Rubber-wood inserts. The kit is actually another clock pen kit but without the clock window as I think they are a waste of time and effort.Segmented Pen Small.jpg

I cant really see the segmenting that well in the pic which is a shame as I know it's there.
Great use of an otherwise wasted kit I think it looks good init?

I also can't see the segmenting, have you had one of Woody's senior moments & posted the wrong picture :nooidea::nooidea:

Sorry if it's the right picture but I can't see the different woods.

No, it's the right picture, just bad light coupled with too similarly coloured woods!

have you lot gone blind with old age ?

What's up with you, can't you see a nice simple bit of segmenting, you should have gone to spec saver...:funny:

Simple line in the middle of the pen..

Nice pen and agree the effort with the window really doesn't do much does it.. But really good attempt, especially if you have baffled this lot :funny:

Nice pen and as with the others, its very difficult to see any segmenting. With the clock I thought that the pen was a bit tacky... I mean a lot tacky with without it, I quite like this kit.

You can just make out the line down the center of the pen, looks very nice indeed, you have a much better shape on this pen also .. Well Done .. :bwink:
