This is my first commission. Although not sure how much to charge for it.

Very nicely done.....I like the segmentation....well done....as to price, it's easier to turn a pen than it is to price it!!.....what ever your 'full' cost was plus a bit for profit is the easiest answer..

Very nice looks the business. Pricing a pen for sale is something I struggle with. When pricing pens from experience people can be very enthusiastic until you actually quote a price then they suddenly lose interest. Yet they will quite happily pay £340 for a Conway Green Churchill pen.
I just try to cover my costs plus a little bit of profit to fund another kit. I am not going to be able to retire and live off my pen turning that's never going to happen.

Facing these eternal questions will never be easy Ewan ,hang in there mate. Over the years I have observed the international masters like Richard Raffan ( he is currently hanging up his SKEW),selling up and having fun.

People like him establish then work hard at lots of in use products to sustain and invariably have the backing of a working wife.

I wasn’t planning on giving up work and making a business from my hobby any time soon
This was for a friend that I told I was making pens and he asked me to sell him one as he has a small collection I didn’t know about.
We have agreed £35 even though he has only seen a picture.
